How to clean a Wobbel board

We've had our Wobbel board for almost 2 years now and it has been very well loved. It has been used in so many ways during play but it has also been used as a seat to sit at the toddler table and eat at. So needless to say it has gotten quite mucky and as it is felt covered wiping it down wasn't doing the trick, I'd also tried the bicarb trick which also didn't work. I was starting to think it was just destined to be filthy.

I've thought about taking the felt off but it looks like it would be a big job and I'm not sure I could get all the sticky glue off. So I tried a carpet cleaner!, I was really worried that it would stain or discolour the felt but it was already stained so I thought why not!.

Here is what I used, Dr Beckmann Carpet stain remover!. I also used a bowl of warm water and a microfibre cloth.

Firstly I gave the board a good hoover to make sure there was no excess fluff or dog hairs etc on it. Then I rubbed the brush gently over the board allowed it to lather and continued to gently work the cleaner in. Next I took my washable microfibre and the warm water and dabbed the board until all the cleaner was going, rinsing and wringing out the cloth as needed.

It came out really well, I was very pleased. There are no patches or discolouration which I was particularly worried about and it looks like new!.

The dirt that came off it was disgusting, I didn't expect it to be that dirty!. Now it is fresh and clean and ready to be played with and messed up again.

Thank you for reading
